Sunflower Bible Church's Confession of Faith is based on the doctrinal principles of The Gospel Coalition (TGC), which is an international network of churches from multiple denominations that are all devoted to sound biblical theology.
Do you re-affirm our CHURCH BYLAWS on pages 10-24? (Select One) *
You are invited to review the Church Bylaws, but in summary, there are 5 KEY DISTINCTIONS to be aware of: (1) All "Elders" shall be voting members on Sunflower's Board of the Directors and shall work together to make the majority of the church's operational decisions. (2) The Lead Pastor shall be the permanent "Chair" of the Elder Board, and the only paid staff member on the Elder Board. (3) Both Men & Women will be considered for the role of Deacon & Deaconess, whereas the position of Elder will continue to be reserved for Men as clearly stated in Scripture. (4) Members are given rights and a procedure to work with the Elders to call for special meetings and/or make amendments to Sunflower's Confession of Faith & Church Bylaws. (5) By voting to affirm or re-affirm an Elder or Deacon/Deaconess, you are trusting this leader to act in the best interests of Sunflower Bible Church's mission to sow abundantly, grow biblically, and pray always for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

According to Sunflower Bible Church's Bylaws, our fiscal year shall be from July 1 to June 30, and our annual budget shall be prepared by the elders and approved by a simple majority vote from a quorum of active church members. Here are 5 KEY DISTINCTIONS to be aware of: (1) We have been budgeting for growth, which includes budgeting for a new full-time position that could start in July 2026. (2) We are increasing our budget for 2026-2027 based upon the increase of monthly giving we've seen from church growth in the prior year (3) We will plan another Christmas Offering Campaign at the end of 2026 for above-and-beyond giving (4) We are planning to continue and expand our financial support for the following mission partners: Ethiopia (BLFP), Panama (PMF), India (IGL), Belgium (VIANOVA), Romania (Liberia De Maine), UpGlobal Network, Olathe Adopt-A-Schools, The Forge, Zeelo, and Mission Southside. (5) 20% of General Fund Giving will be allocated to supporting local and global missions in the spirit of sowing abundantly!
